We are actively keeping track of any and all breaking news from the Australian Government regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, and as such we prioritize our customers and staff health above all else.

Online orders will still be accepted as normal, so if you are in self quarantine and are after something in particular you may order online through our E-commerce store, or even call us in store and we can pick out what you are after and ship it per your request (in some situations we may even be able to do a temporary pick up, please call us beforehand).

In these times we are doing our best to attend to every one of our customers requests and we appreciate your patience, we kindly ask that you remain patient with us and we will get through to each request/inquiry we can as quickly as possible.

In light of the recent events and Australian Governments lockdown, Hearns Hobbies & The Hobbyman by Hearns are still operating as normal.

In respect of the Social Distancing requirement, we will be limiting interactions in store for both you (the customer) and our staff in order to limit the chances of infection where possible.

Taking this into account, we do kindly ask and appreciate that there be no offense taken if you are asked to keep a distance and conversations are kept short. If there is a large demand, we may be forced to allow a certain amount of customers into the store per time so the chance of infection can be lowered further.

We don't take this news lightly and are doing this for both yours and our health benefit, we ask that you kindly respect this, thank-you.

Auspost's official statement in regards to deliveries and pickup:

Australia post has issued the following statement:

The health and safety of our people and customers in the communities in which we operate is our priority.

We have now implemented additional measures with our delivery drivers and posties when delivering parcels.

To minimise the risk of contracting or spreading coronavirus, when the customer answers the door, our people who make deliveries will greet them and ask: “Are you unwell? If so, have you been diagnosed with the coronavirus?”.

If they answer yes to either of these questions, we will ask them to stay inside and leave the parcel on the front door for them to collect once our driver has left.

All parcels will no longer require a signature for delivery and/or collection. In all cases, whether a driver or postie delivers to the door or a customer goes in to their local Post Office to collect a parcel, our staff member will ask and record the customer’s name and sign on their behalf.

The customer will still need to be present for this to occur, but contact will be minimised by either leaving the parcel at the door until the driver or postie has left the premises or left for the customer to pick up on the counter.

For deliveries with specific signature requirements, we will be working with our customers directly to ensure these continue to be met.
