KOTOBUKIYA CRAFTSMANSHIP

From humble beginnings in 1947 (after world war 2) Jusaburo Shimizu opened a simple singular toy shop which primarily sold dolls. During a time of great social restructure and reform in japan, this was known as “The Recovery Stage (between 1946 through to 1954). The Japanese economy was beginning to boom, and through this Jusaburo re-formed his single store to become an LTD company and from there on becoming known as Kotobukiya. Ever since the company has flourished, and become one of the modelling industries giants of model kit creation.
